Creating a Debt Schedule

When you create a debt schedule, you can associate a balance sheet and income/expense statement, and then enter loan information in the standard fields, and in the custom fields created by your system administrator.

1.    Navigate to the Debt Schedule screen by selecting the Loans menu option.

2.    Click the Create New Debt Schedule link to display the Debt Schedule Setup dialog box.

Description

Loan Balance Date

To enter the date for the debt schedule:

     Enter the date using one of the following formats:
MM/DD/YYYY or MM/DD/YY

     Click Debt_Schedule_eHelp_Reference_9.300011.jpg to select the date from the calendar.

Description

Enter a description for the schedule.

Balance Sheet

The selected balance sheet will be linked to the debt schedule. This enables certain amounts entered in the debt schedule to appear in relevant charts of account on the balance sheet when you select the To BS check box on the Debt Schedule screen.

Select a balance sheet.

Income / Expense

The selected income/expense statement will be linked to the debt schedule. This enables certain amounts entered in the schedule to appear in relevant charts of account on the income/expense statement when you select the To I/E check box on the Debt Schedule screen.

Select an income/expense statement.

3.    Click Save.

4.    On the Debt Schedule screen, click either the Our Debt or Other Debt tab to add loan information for your debts or debts of other financial institutions.  

5.    Enter your loan information as below:

Note    The fields that are documented are the standard fields Lending Cloud provides. Your system administrator can create custom fields. The fields you see are based on those settings.  

Click the icon to access the following tabs where additional loan information can be entered.

Note    Your system administrator can add a WordPad to one of the tabs, that you can use to add any additional information about the loan that an approver may need to know. For information about working with WordPads, including using the spell check program and adding text near graphics, see WordPads.

6.    In the drop-down list to the right of the Add button, select the type of loan you are adding:

    •  Ag.—Agriculture

    •  Com.—Commercial

    •  Pers.—Personal

7.     Click Add to add the loan to the debt schedule.
