Protecting Against Unauthorized Logins

Lending Cloud's protection against unauthorized logins includes a feature that prevents a user from having more than one login at the same time.

Restricting Concurrent Logins

If Lending Cloud detects that a second login for a specific user ID is being attempted, the Concurrent Logins Restriction feature prevents the second login from occurring. This security feature also prevents a second login from occurring after one of the following actions:

When denying the second login attempt, the system also displays a message with instructions for returning to the original login session. If you are unable to return to the original session after following the instructions, your system administrator can restore the user's ability to log in by using the Reset Locked Browser feature.

The Controlling the Restriction on Concurrent Logins section contains more information for your system administrator about using the Concurrent Login Restriction feature.

Logging Out of Lending Cloud

The Concurrent Login Restriction feature requires that you log out of Lending Cloud properly to be able to log in again.

Take the following steps to log out of Lending Cloud.

1. Select the Locator option to exit the customer record if needed.

2. From the Locator page, click the vertical ellipsis in the upper-right corner of the page to display a drop-down menu.

3. Select Log Out from the drop-down menu.

Regaining Access After Being Locked Out Due to Concurrent Logins

Due to the restriction on concurrent logins, if you do not use the proper logout process described above in Logging Out of Lending Cloud, the system will lock you out when you make the next login attempt.

Take the following steps to clear the lockout.

1. Close down all browsers completely.

2. Open the browser with the lockout and have only one tab open.

3. Attempt to log in again. The system should allow you to access Lending Cloud. Then, when you log out via the proper logout process, the lock will be cleared.

Security Reminders

If you are going to be away from your desk for an extended period, or if you are leaving the office, select the Locator option to exit the customer record that you have open. Then, log out of Lending Cloud from the Locator page. For security purposes, do not leave your laptop or device unattended in vehicles or other locations where unauthorized access might occur.

Reporting the Last Login of Users

The User Last Login Report provides your system administrator with information about the most recent login for users.

Tracking Login Attempts

If you are concerned that unauthorized login attempts might be occurring, please contact your system administrator or Lending Cloud Support to track the login attempts within the database. The system logs all login attempts in the database.
