Viewing and Editing Financial Statement Mappings
You can view and edit the chart of account mappings applied to the financial statements imported from the MARQ™ portal using portal-related balance sheet and income/expense models. Lending Cloud provides standard balance sheet and income/expense models. System administrators can create other models based on the standard models to meet specific mapping needs. Using the portal-related models makes it easier to analyze imported financial statement data.
The following sections provide system administrators with information about creating and assigning portal-related financial statement models and controlling user functionality associated with models.
Following are the standard portal-related balance sheet models:
Balance Sheet - Commercial (MARQ portal)
This model is available only for the main entity (other than Individual/Sole
Proprietor) and related entities (other than Individual/Sole Proprietor).
Balance Sheet - Personal (MARQ portal)
This model is available only for related entities with Individual as
the type.
Following are the standard portal-related income/expense models:
Income/Expense - Commercial (MARQ portal)
This model is available only for the main entity (other than Individual/Sole
Proprietor) and related entities (other than Individual/Sole Proprietor).
Income/Expense - Personal (MARQ portal)
This model is available only for related entities with Individual as
the type.
The standard portal-related models cannot be modified or deleted.
Step 3 - Import Spreads of the import wizard lists the financial statements
that you can import from the MARQ™ portal. Following are examples of balance
sheet trends information after using a standard portal-related model and
a modified portal-related model for the importing of financial statement
data.
Importing Data Using a Standard Balance Sheet Model
Following is an example of the Balance Sheet Trends page after the standard Balance Sheet - Commercial (MARQ portal) model was used to import financial statements from the portal:
Importing Data Using a Balance Sheet Model with Modified Mappings
Following is a portion of a modified commercial balance sheet model for the importing of financial data:
The following Source Attributes/Target Attributes/Descriptions highlighted in the preceding illustration are used to demonstrate the mapping of imported data:
Assets/Capital Leases/Capital Leases
Cash on Hand/Certificates of Deposit/Cash Certificate
Petty Cash/Do Not Map/Petty Cash
Note When the Target Attribute is Do Not Map, the import process prevents the corresponding Source Attribute/Chart of Account from mapping to Lending Cloud.
Note The system does not import attributes with a value of zero.
Following is an example of the Balance Sheet Trends page after the Balance Sheet - Commercial (MARQ portal) Modified model was used for the importing of financial data:
The Cash Certificate description and data from the balance sheet model appears under Current Assets. The Capital Leases description and data from the model appears under Non-Current Assets. The Petty Cash description and data do not appear because Do Not Map was selected as the Target Attribute for Petty Cash in the model.
The following illustration provides an example of the details for the Cash Certificate under Current Assets:
Importing Data Using Income/Expense Models
Step 3 - Import Spreads of the import wizard lists the financial statements
that you can import from the MARQ™ portal. Following are examples of income/expense
trends information after using a standard portal-related model and a modified
portal-related model for the importing of financial statement data.
Importing Data Using a Standard Income/Expense Model
Following is an example of the Income / Expense Trends page after the standard Income/Expense - Commercial (MARQ portal) model was used to import financial statements from the portal:
Importing Data Using an Income/Expense Model with Modified Mappings
Following is a portion of a modified commercial income/expense model for the importing of financial data:
The following Source Attributes/Target Attributes/Descriptions highlighted in the preceding illustration are used to demonstrate the mapping of imported data.
Services/Natural Gas Sales/Natural Gas Sales
General Services/Do Not Map/General Services
Note When the Target Attribute is Do Not Map, the import process prevents the corresponding Source Attribute/Chart of Account from mapping to Lending Cloud.
Note The system does not import attributes with a value of zero.
Following is an example of the Income/Expense Trends page after the Income/Expense-Commercial (MARQ portal) - Modified model was used for the importing of financial data:
The Natural Gas Sales description and data from the income/expense model appear under Revenues. The General Services description and data do not appear because Do Not Map was selected as the Target Attribute for General Services in the model.
The following illustration provides an example of the details for the Natural Gas Sales under Revenues:
